Restrictions for 4-stroke PRO-KART endurance events under COVID-19

We want races to be competitive but it’s important that everyone stays safe, so here are some basic rules that all kart drivers must follow:

  • All drivers and other personnel are to have their temperature taken at the circuit - anyone with a temperature will be asked to leave the circuit.
  • Drivers are to follow social distancing measures in place.
  • Driversare to follow the direction of staff at all times.
  • All drivers must attend the briefing – If you don’t make the briefing you cannot take part in the race.
  • Only one driver and one other person to attend per driver.
  • No spectators.
  • All paperwork to be completed before the day and retuned by email to the office before the event.
  • If working from an awning then everyone must wear a mask and gloves.
  • All karts must race on Bridgestone YDS Slick Tyres.
  • All karts must have a chain guard fitted.
  • All drivers must wear all-in-one race suits, gloves and full-face helmets.
  • There will be a staggered grid for the 2-hour races.
  • A minimum of three pit stops to be made during the race – one of these to be a fuel stop.
  • On every driver change the driver must get out of the kart in the designated area and sanitise the seat and steering wheel.
  • Only Three Sisters fuel is to be used.
  • GX200: weight limit is 185kg.
  • GX200 Gearing: 22-tooth clutch drum and 64-tooth axle sprocket.
  • At each pit stop you must stop at the weigh bridge. For every kilo the kart is under 185kg, a 30-second penalty will be given.
  • Only the driver at the time is allowed in the scrutineering bay for refuel and weigh-in.
  • Driver changes are to be in the designated area in the pit lane. The kart must have the seat and steering wheel sanitised before the next driver can get in. If there is only one driver then they must still follow the same process to make it fair on time.
  • Drivers must stop in the stop-box at the bottom of the pit lane, indicated by the four traffic cones.
  • Any work or running repairs to the karts must be done in the paddock and not the pit lane.
  • All drivers must be aware of the meanings of the various flag signals.
  • Outside toilets will be open.
  • No showers will be available.
  • Overalls to be washed after each time they are used.
  • Failure to conform to the above rules could mean that you will be asked to leave the circuit and may not be allowed to re-join the race. In extreme circumstances you will not be allowed to race at Three Sisters Circuit again.
